Sensational Science and Ultimate Art | Summer Camp 1st - 3rd Grade
Lakewood Montessori provides a unique emphasis on art and science for elementary children in a fun and engaging camp format. Enthusiastic teachers and camp counselors prepare inquiry based opportunities for kids that not only get them thinking, but playing too. Art and science are woven into projects, games, experiments, field trips, and other great adventures teaching vital skills that result in a creative and innovative thinker.
During Summer Camp, children can be found sculpting clay to fire in the kiln, constructing an erosion model, learning watercolor techniques, and building models of cells. These activities take place in a fun, collaborative, fully hands-on atmosphere, under the guidance of experienced art and science teachers, bringing full circle learning through fun.
Lakewood’s Summer Camp has been a popular choice among parents and children, with many students returning year after year. Fun traditions have developed such as tie dying t-shirts, building model rockets, playing with water slides, and hiking to Table Rock.
Space for camp is extremely limited. Camp registration begins March 1st, 2019.
