Sensorial

“The hands are the instruments of man's intelligence.” –Dr. Montessori

Through the sensorial exercises, the child refines his sense of sight, sound, touch, taste and smell.  Specially designed materials let the child explore the world through his senses.  The child learns to classify, organize, sequence, pattern, and grade.  In this way, the child builds his intellect.  He gains knowledge through his own experience.  Sensorial activities prepare the child for further learning, i.e. language and mathematics.
